If your career path has been winding it doesn’t mean it was “wrong”. If we can be value driven about our careers and lives we might end up on “non traditional” paths but ones that are much more fulfilling. #womeninscience#cos23@ObesityCan
Thrilled to share this new pub in Psychophysiology based on my PhD! Novel test of neural responses that may be integrally involved in sexual processing. Labour of love with collabs including @DrMLChivers@MarkSabbagh1. PM for PDF. https://t.co/IDyppOpxPh
Dr. Huberman, a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow in the CaSH Lab, graduated from Queen's with her PhD in Clinical Psych in 2020, and recently celebrated in-person! Jackie's dissertation examined neural processes involved in fundamental stages of sexual response.
Congratulations! 🎓🤰🏼
Excited to see this paper published! We examined new mothers' sexual values and distress related to sexuality. Finding new ways to live in line with sexual values may be helpful during a transitional time of becoming a new parent!
Postdoc hunting?
Are emotion dynamics and regulation, across development, in digital and non-digital contexts your jam?
Then give me a shout to discuss application possibilities in the Adolescent Dynamics Lab.

When talking about our agendas for the day, I told my 5yo I was a little nervous about a meeting I have today. He said, “Mama, I am nervous all the time. I know what to do.” So friends, here is all the advice he could fit into the drive to school:
Thanks to @ClubKaur I completely rethought my course syllabus this semester. See below for a nearly done version. Made with LaTeX using @Kuester_Jan's Infographics CV. @AcademicChatter
@RR_Cotter @PhDVoice@thephdstory@PhDForum Also, in Ontario I was able to "assume" my spouse's last name, without legally changing my name, meaning I had the option of driver's license etc. in either name. Flexibility was key for me! Makes things a bit more confusing at times, but I like options :)
@RR_Cotter @PhDVoice@thephdstory@PhDForum I did not legally change my name, chose to keep using my name professionally but to use my partner's last name socially, because I liked the idea of sharing a name. I quite like the professional vs. personal personas, and for me either name works! And I like that flexibility too.
Hello. This weekend some people are going to orgies & some people are having sex w a lifelong partner and some people are doing paper mache we are a species of flexible social and sexual strategists so enjoy your thing it’s normal #anthropology
My heart broke a little on Monday.
I was in class with 30ish 6 year olds doing an activity where they had to draw themselves and write a sentence about what was most important to them. They were all really excited and got started straightaway.
Cheers to a great kick off of #CSRF2021 from the moscow mule crew! Yummy drinks + excellent posters + friendly faces 😁 @_CSRF @TideyLeah @GraceSchwenck
To fight Zoom fatigue, give people the freedom to turn their cameras off.
New experiment: videos off reduces exhaustion and boosts engagement—especially for women and newcomers.
Cameras off doesn't reflect disengagement. It helps to prevent burnout and promote attention.
My lab is looking for children 3.5-5 years old to participate in our studies! They are all online so you can do them from anywhere and the kids usually have a great time playing fun online games! To learn more check out our website! https://t.co/1xfYXSfBXc
