My whole family supported Arsenal, so naturally I grew up thinking football was supposed to be beautiful.

Then one day I watched them concede in the 90th minute after dominating for 89 minutes.

I asked my dad, “Why do we keep doing this to ourselves?”

He said, “Son, you’ll understand when you’re older.”

I never went back.
