Great to see and hear young musicians from @ScottsPark_Sch performing this morning at the Bromley Music Festival with their Director @alexjackman. Thrilled to take away a trophy and see the smiles and sense of achievement. One reason why there should be #AnOrchestraInEverySchool
Please listen, like and subscribe to Pitch Me Classical the new podcast from @LPOrchestra. Every fortnight @yolandabrown and LPO musicians unpack classical music conundrums or cliches. We start with Mozart. Is he the classical GOAT? https://t.co/iLhjLzegP0
Honestly feeling that I have no need to hear Tchaik 6 again for at least a decade after tonight’s effort by @LPOrchestra with @kcanellakis. I have heard it done very well in this hall before but that was mind-blowing. A word too for quicksilver Beethoven by @vadymkholodenko
@sgtoyne@lisanandy Lovely words. Let’s see how much of the income raised through levying VAT on, say, independent choir schools is ploughed into the development of equivalent levels of student and teacher expertise in the arts within the state sector.
It’s another day on the Busoni piano concerto rock ‘n’ roll tour. Yesterday Maida Vale, today @FairfieldHalls Croydon, tomorrow @RoyalAlbertHall with @LPOrchestra@LPChoir. Ten minutes in and we’ve just about reached the end of the orchestral introduction…
Take a bow! @echo_vocal tore it up this lunchtime on their @wigmore_hall debut. So many sounds, textures, great choral singing and beautiful individual voices. The good news is you can hear it too on their first album, Innocence. Get it here. https://t.co/IM0ZKUfTNM
