You really should read a rule book! The umpires were right. A runner establishes his/her own baseline. The baseline is NOT an imaginary line between 1B and 2B. The runner could have run into right field if he wanted prior to the fielder getting the ball. The runner was smart and the umpires were correct sir!
@mike_daddino You do not know the rules. A runner establishes his own base path. He can run into right field if he wants prior to the tag attempt. See Rule 5.09(b)(1). Amazing how many fans and players do not know the rules. Smart base runner.
@nypost It's only controversial because people do not know the rules. A runner establishes his own base path. You can run wherever you want prior to a tag attempt. You can run into right field if you want. See Rule 5.09(b)(1). Smart baserunner.
@FoulTerritoryTV@JakeDRill Draw a straight line from the runner to the base. That is his base path. The runner was smart!!! Every first base coach reminds a base runner. "Don't let the second baseman tag you on a ground ball". See Rule 5.09(b)(1). The manager should know this.
@BBGreatMoments Torre changed his tune with umpires after he started working with them and realized what a great job they do. Just showing his team he has their back in this situation on an award of bases.
I am ok with him paying off the house if he has a line of credit available to access. Now he can really max out his 401k and open a stock/bond account outside the IRA to build up those assets. In 10-20 years, he will have large assets in his 401k and brokerage account and no debt.
If you tax unrealized gains, there will be many businesses that will sell to get liquidity. Who will they sell to? Big corporations and private equity. This will make things worse. If you want to tax billionaires, simply limit the charitable deduction on the Estate Tax return. This is EZ!!!!
@SNYtv SNY, learn the rules!!! That is INTERFERENCE, not obstruction. Only the defense causes obstruction. The fielder has absolute right to field the ball and that is why interference was called.
