@ihhhhiii@CalThaYeen@carloselgoof "I-I k-know we're in a conversation about how Kit's panic attack negatively impacts her characterization in the pilot but I'm gonna say you're spamming a meme to discredit y-you! It'll t-totaly work!"
Something something This is probably what went through your head
@amerpipedream First gun was a PSA PA-10 my dad and I built together from a parts kit.
It was awesome, and it didnt explode when I shot it the first time!
@ihhhhiii@CalThaYeen@carloselgoof Yes, I have. I come from a millitary family.
Notice how virtually every veteran you will ever talk to kept fighting THROUGH the most traumatic shit of their lives and didn't break down until they got a cheap pep talk?
The "realistic panic attack" is a net negative for kit rn.
@ihhhhiii@CalThaYeen@carloselgoof She's explicitly stated to be an expirenced farcade agent, being akin to a commando.
She wouldn't strike fear into Mr. Paper or strike concern in Mr. BBEG if she froze up like that constantly.
The "realistic panic attack" is not worth the damage it does to her character
@lordvictor I have litteraly never killed Swanic.
Is he slightly obnoxious? Yes.
Does he bug out and say "bye" in Henry Nash's voice? Also yes.
Point is, I don't want the astral projection of Mr. Nash to be angry with me at level 12.
@BBQdTurnips@dmh1125 With all do respect sir, the Mormon Lego black ops recovery team has had significant difficulty in organizing itself.
(All of my ward members are something they call "employed")
@ShenDoodles@NotJoshart@worldsbesthunta You shouldn't be trying to cram that much into a pilot.
A pilot episode is just to get a taste of the adventure, much like a sample at the ice cream counter.
It is not supposed to be the entire gallon bin shoved down your throat.
@CalThaYeen@carloselgoof (2/2) nuked kit's character. From what we are shown and told through most of the episode. Kit is a a hero who won't stop at anything to save the world.
It doesnt make sense that she'd give up and cry instead of running the villians down.
@CalThaYeen@carloselgoof It suffers from poor pacing
A confusing execution of its premise
Bland writing in regards to the protagonists. (The villains are the best part. Mr. Paper is the GOAT)
The scene about the "realistic depiction of a panic attack" had no meaningful buildup and kinda (1/2)
