This is that game we were all worried about where there’s a lack of lock pickers against lower blocks. Will come down to fine margins this but this is where the lack of selection of TAA etc. look a bit eh. To be honest though, pressures building, we’ll get em.
Not enough depth for England so far
Too many players around Kane showing for feet, need more runners to stretch in behind
Ghana fairly comfortable here
Brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo — possibly the greatest goalscorer the game has ever seen!
Now ALL the superstars have arrived.
But please, please, let's not start the comparison game. It's one he will always lose.
Let's appreciate him for what he is, rather than measuring him against someone else.
@fuadyabz23 Probably has more upside than any of our midfielders aside from Kobbie
He would add good depth which is what we need considering we’ll play 4 competitions next year
But is very much price dependent
Have to agree here. Considering Barca and other top European clubs were after him before he choose Spurs, shows he has massive potential
Obviously you don’t know what the seasons at Spurs have done but for a reasonable price, I don’t see why United wouldn’t be at least interested
Very price dependent, and obviously not a replacement for an additional serious midfield signing we need. But he's very young, in a bad team terrible at developing players, and is quite talented. I'd like to hoard more players like this for the future.
🚨 Manchester United have made Mateus Fernandes their top midfield target, but talks with West Ham are tough; the £80–85M valuation is a major hurdle.
United are now assessing alternatives, with Sander Berge and Carlos Baleba both under consideration.

Couldn’t agree more. I understand the need to sign Prem proven guys as the transition period is significantly less, but only choosing Prem proven players over searching further afield is also extreme to me
So many hidden gems around Africa and Asia but none are considered
Hadn’t heard of him 24 hours ago but further evidence there’s defo quality hidden gem type midfielders outside the prem. There can be life outside of dropping stupid money on the likes of Scott, Fernandes, Anderson etc
I actually thought we had changed last summer by starting to buy players quickly and have our business done early
But yet again we continue to dwell on our top targets bc of small amounts of difference in valuation
It’ll catch up with us at some point
No rush to sell - fairly certain they need £150m in player sales by June 30th no?
Also I’m fairly certain both players don’t wanna be championship players for any longer than they have to be
I don’t think West Ham have as much control as they think
🚨 NEW: West Ham United have delivered a crystal-clear message to Manchester United amid ongoing speculation over potential moves for Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville: if you want the players, pay the asking prices of around £80-85M for Fernandes and £50M for Summerville, or stop using the club's name for negotiations, as no concrete bids have been lodged despite the noise.
Both players are tied to long-term contracts, giving West Ham full control and no urgency to sell, with the club's stance hardening under owner Daniel Křetínský's direction to retain them as key squad members.

I fear United are being too relaxed about this transfer window
Why wouldn’t you just put in an opening offer to West Ham for Mateus Fernandes and get the deal done
Why are we messing about allowing other clubs to even enter the race
If he’s our priority target, act like he is and get the deal done ASAP
Slightly worrying tbh
I was thinking earlier about Rashford and United
I can see a situation where Carrick re-integrates him back into the group and he stays for the remainder of the contract. I doubt anyone will pay £300k a week and I doubt he would want to take a paycut
Yes he’s 28 and on a lot of money but it would add significant depth to the left side and save funds to spend in other areas
His goal last night just sparked that memory of him in my head. I think with Carrick in charge, he could be loved and appreciated again, and could be an asset if used correctly
But let’s see what happens
@drsportsmedia Nah i’d bet my life on it you don’t think Gordon is better, you just see Rashford as an ‘attitude’ problem. 10 years deep and Marcus Rashford is still in conversations, still representing his country. We will not be saying the same about Anthony Gordon, he has nothing on him.
As someone that watches him most weeks at Madrid, you’re right, he doesn’t move anyone with his technical ability, although it’s not bad by any means. But as H says, he off ball work is what United lack sorely and partnered with a pure ball player like Fernandes and Mainoo you’ll see the best side of him
