Much has been of height restoration with SJ. IMO, just as important is the potential for anatomic reduction with normalization of disc and facet stress/strain. Case in point: broken left osteophyte on CT realigned with some cute bonus cement extending from the fracture cleft.
SpineJack is excellent for anatomic reduction in subacute junctional fractures, but the rules of adequate VB cement apply: side to side, top to bottom. Even after 12cc, lower L1 was still bare. 2.5 more cc via inferior endplate extrapedicular access finished the job.
And we’re just getting started.

Not all hip dysplasia looks the same. Acetabular deficiency can be found in many places, and can often look like impingement, pincer related anatomy! Anterosuperior deficiency, global deficiency and posterosuperior deficiency #hipdysplasia#teamhip https://t.co/dwQ0M4ZqQE
Keep an eye out for subtle facet fractures! This tiny superior articular process fracture at C6 is classified as an F1 in the AOS system. F1 fractures are typically stable. F2 fractures are potentially unstable; these are characterised by fracture fragments larger than 1 centimetre (or involving more than 40% of the lateral mass). The presence of an F2 fracture can affect management as a non-operative approach may not be successful.
@WillyRontgen Sectra is great and I would say best I’ve used.
Our group is moving from Fuji to Visage soon, fingers crossed.
Fuji and Phillips (iSite) tied for last.
McKesson/Change I always thought was surprisingly decent, especially compared to iSite.
Joseph A. Abboud, MD, FAAOS, of @RothmanOrtho, discussed results presented at #AAOS2026 that showed GLP-1 use in adults with concurrent type 2 diabetes and obesity was associated with increased risk for osteoporosis, gout and osteomalacia.

@jkhmlf Yes. Auto=self i.e. self fusion (without hardware). Some call it spontaneous fusion but I think that that is a misnomer. There’s not really much spontaneous about it, it’s due to a process occurring over years if not decades.
