The boys start the season off with a 3-0 win over Chatham. Freshman Gavin Heighberger started the scoring in the 56th minute. Fellow freshman Payton Maynard doubled the lead and transfer Joel Tshiamala sealed the game two minutes from the end. On the road at W&J on Sunday. #WTBH

Akron City FC is excited to welcome @JacobRoberto34 to the team for the 2023 season! Jacob played on our reserve team last season and gets a call up to the 1st team this summer.

Jacob will be graduating from Marietta College in May where he wrapped up his collegiate playing career this past fall. Roberto recorded 18 appearances with 17 starts and scored four goals with three assists for the Pioneers. In 2021 He appeared in all 18 of the team's games, starting six of them. Jacob is originally from Berea, Ohio and started his collegiate career at Notre Dame College.

We are thrilled to have another strong local player joining the squad this summer. Jacob wrapped up his collegiate career with a successful senior campaign and we’ll look for him to add even more depth to an already strong roster!
