Maclin was hit three times and required 17 days of hospitalization and six surgeries. The officers allegedly fired at least 30 shots when they found Maclin with a gun beside him in the driver's seat. Maclin's attorney maintains that he never reached for the gun and only being a young Black man in a high-crime neighborhood was his "offense."
Maclin and his family are calling for the officers to be suspended without pay and fired by the police merit board. The officers' attorneys argue that their actions were in line with their training and that evidence will support the legality of their actions. Investigations into the shooting were conducted by the police department, including the Critical Incident Response Team and Internal Affairs division.
@MostPeculiariti@LolOverruled Why can't we just change emotion towards the word itself anyways? A homeless person is a person who doesn't have a home and that isn't a moral judgement but an observation of their lack of housing. That simple. Homeless.
