We are excited to welcome back to JRES, Ms. Abbigail Szach, as a Kindergarten teacher! She graduated VCU in 2022 with a bachelors in early childhood education. She actually came to Jacobs as a student from kindergarten to 2nd grade! She likes to spend time with her family & dog.

We are excited to introduce Mrs. Kristin Garber to our JRES family and First Grade Team! She has taught Kindergarten and 1st grade in Roanoke County Schools and has been a reading intervention teacher She has 6 yr. old twins and and and 8 yr old and enjoys running & traveling.

We are so excited to welcome new staff members to our Jacobs family! This is Ms. Widad Ahmad and she graduated from VCU in 2022 She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Palestinian immigrant parents and moved to Chesterfield when she was 4 years old. She can’t wait to be teaching 4th!

I’m Bethany Dancey and I am excited to join JRES and become part of the Jaguar community! I have taught 14 years at nearby Hening ES as a 4th & 5th grade teacher, an ESL teacher & a Reading teacher!

My name is Katie Washburn and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at JRES this school year! I recently graduated from CNU with my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. My family consists of a long line of teachers that sparked my passion for education.

My name is Kaitlyn Thompson and I will be a 4th grade teacher this year at JRES! I am a proud VCU alumni with my Master of Teaching. In my free time I love to garden and cuddle up with my two kitties. This year is going to be filled with lots of love, learning, and growing!
