David Bailey

David Bailey made an immediate impact in his lone season at Texas Tech in 2025, emerging as one of the nation's most dominant defensive players. He recorded 52 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery while leading the nation in sacks. Bailey earned Consensus First-Team All-American honors, was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Big 12, and helped lead the Red Raiders to the College Football Playoff. His standout season culminated in being selected No. 2 overall by the New York Jets in the 2026 NFL Draft, the highest draft selection for a Texas Tech player since 1964.
