@tanyaelisabethh I get it, and I agree. But without some people that devoted so much time to medicine, science, technology... our lives could be not as good... no?
@TheRobertBshow -If the kid is in public school and the mother can work during that time, no childcare.
-Being a SAHM doesn't eliminate the need for a 2nd car.
@GeorgeLooney786 @KnowledgeArchiv Im starting to not buy into this. If you want to be feminine as a woman or masculine as a man, you can just be that on your own, you can choose how to act towards someone

These were all traits that were once highly beneficial (in hunter-gatherer times), but do more harm than good in our artificial post-modern society (which favors the farmer genotype)
Construct an environment that rewards you for your wiring. If you don't cultivate these, they will manifest as weaknesses and ruin your life
I am convinced we tend to grow up to be a reflexion of how our childhood was.
Having a loving household while growing up could have saved a big % of delinquents.
That’s why being a parent is the most important career.
When we return to a real economy, and not a slavery based one, people will not be able to have whatever they want whenever they want and will have to contend with their wasteful materialism. They’ll have to look after their things. Mend them. Pass them on.
This is a good thing.
The older I get, the more I've realized that the difference between an average life and an extraordinary one is simple: intentionality. Most people just let life happen to them. They never make decisions. They never take risks. They never plan. They simply reach the end of their life and wonder how they got there.
People pray to God and rely on him to fix their life, but the bitter truth is that God can present you with choices, but it’s your responsibility to choose well.
I've vowed to be an active participant in my life. I've vowed to try and make my life good. I've vowed to choose well. I know that I'm living a life I love on purpose. There is nothing accidental about it.
The life you have today is built on the choices you made yesterday. And the life you’ll have tomorrow depends on the choices you make today. Remember that.
I'm starting to develop a hypothesis that we are medicalizing and therapizing issues that are actually spiritual in nature.
I have yet to meet someone who had couples therapy save their marriage....
I have yet to meet someone whose therapist cured their depression or anxiety.
