Join us tonight for upcoming Relational Organizing party! 🎉 This meeting is perfect for you to find out what issues are facing our democracy, how to build power with like-minded people from across the U.S. and the ways to mobilize our communities! RSVP: https://t.co/f4BekeaRoi
The GOP’s endgame is never about helping anyone but themselves & the ultra wealthy and extracting whatever gains they can on the backs of the most marginalized among us. This is why we need more elected officials who will go to bat for us.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to meet with @USRepKeating's staff to discuss the debt ceiling. We heard first hand stories on why we need a clean #debtceiling bill with no attacks on our communities. 👏
ICYMI: We, along with @Action_NC held a debt ceiling meeting today with @SenTedBuddNC 's staff. The team comprised constituents and local community leaders who all demand a clean debt ceiling bill that doesn't compromise our communities! 👏
Greg Abbott over the years:
Allen: "unspeakable tragedy"
Cleveland: "senseless act"
Uvalde: "senseless crime"
White Settlement: "evil act"
Midland-Odessa: "senseless & cowardly attack"
El Paso: "heinous & senseless act"
Santa Fe: "act of evil"
Sutherland Springs: "horrific act"
The Rep for Allen, Texas, spent much of this week railing against children "led like lambs to the slaughter" talking about gender care. The congressman for Allen says those who think prayers aren't enough just don't believe in an almighty God. Maybe worry about guns for a minute
Growing up in Allen I can’t explain how much time I have spent at these outlets. From back to school shopping to prom.
Who is accountable for this?
Jeff Leach, Keith Self, Greg Abbott and GOP have only made it easier to buy and use guns.
We NEED change. https://t.co/N9KFKRPVku
Earlier today we along with @PLANevada and @maketheroadnv met with @RepSusieLee on the #debtceiling and the need to pass a clean bill with no strings attached! We need a budget that invests in our families - not cut the programs that they need most.
I always find the discourse around $70 games to be interesting because if you consider inflation games should cost about $150. The real question people should be asking is why wages are so low that $70 seems like a significant amount, but that's a whole other conversation
Today we were ready to work for as long as it took to reach a fair deal, but management walked away from the table with five hours to go. It’s official: @NYTimesGuild members are walking out for 24 hours on Thursday. We know what we’re worth.
