We can’t wait to see this duo in action in Italy 🍀🍿 @ndwbb
Hannah Hildago, Jacy Abii, and the Irish are headed to Rome to take on Villanova at the Eternal City Tip-Off in November 🔥
Starting for Notre Dame women’s basketball in an exhibition vs. Truman State:
Hannah Hidalgo
Madison St. Rose
Leah Macy
Jacy Abii
Jenica Lewis
I expect Anaya Hardy to start when healthy, replacing either Jenica Lewis or Leah Macy, depending on the opponent.
Early returns from Notre Dame's freshman starters: positive. Jacy Abii and Jenica Lewis both hit threes, with the latter banking hers in.
Not sure how much the Irish let Hidalgo play tonight, but she could score 50 if she wanted. As it stands, she has 11 and it's 23-8.
Final: Notre Dame 125, Truman State 59
Hannah Hidalgo was Hannah Hidalgo. Leah Macy flirted with a triple double. Jenica Lewis and Jacy Abii should make instant impacts as freshmen.
Onto Villanova.

Today is 12 reasons ndwbb is pre-season Top 12 ☘️
Leah Macy has waited since her commitment May 6, 2024, to suit up for a Notre Dame women’s basketball game. The sophomore had 22 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists and four steals in an exhibition win vs. Truman State Monday.
“I can’t lie, I was definitely a little nervous.”
Ask the @ndwbb team about who might be the surprise player on this year’s team and all agree it’s Anaya Hardy.
The transfer from Louisville once viewed the Irish differently, but now she brings her skills — which include running the floor and dunking — to Niele Ivey’s team.
Might be the most personality I’ve ever seen out of a freshman in women’s college basketball. That was evident back in July. @JacyAbii is going to be a ton of fun to cover this season and beyond.
putting in the work on the court and on the phones☎️
@JacyAbii and @JenicaRaine10 called current season ticket holders to say thank you and reminded others to renew ahead of the season

We already knew Madison St. Rose was Notre Dame women’s basketball’s “mother.” We thought Hannah Hidalgo was the Irish’s “aunt,” but Kelly Ratigan said Hidalgo is their “dad,” Ratigan is their “grandma” and Leah Macy is their “weird uncle.”
Yes, really. 🏀🎥🗣️
