Just learned that incarcerated workers will be forced to make the new furniture that replaces what was destroyed in the Capitol. This Tik Tok does a really good job of breaking it down:
Some of y’all are afraid to even tweet about white supremacy, let alone address its violence, even now, as white supremacist violence is starring us all in the face.
That, in addition to yesterday’s horrific events, concerns me.
We have to talk about it to address it.
In this News Brief "US Media Incapable of Criticizing MAGA Mobs w/o Evoking Racist Cliches About 'Third World'," we discuss how US media ignores homegrown fascist currents in favor of chauvinist cliches about us looking like those awful poors "over there"

🔥WE NEED YOUR HELP🔥
There are no black owned art brands. No paint. No paper. No sketchbooks. Until ME. https://t.co/zr4Zp5RGx5 we are handmade and homemade. WE WANT TO BE BIGGER AND BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BRAND! If you can RT this please do!
Each day that passes I am more and more embarrassed to be American.
Today’s events at the capitol says to me if I were born white I could get away with LITERALLY invading the capitol but since I’m black a traffic stop could end with me shot. This country is a joke
My little brother just called me to check on me. He asked "do people who have done nothing bad get killed?" He's 8 years old. He shouldn't have to ask me that question. I'm shaking.

Btw, y’all really had me crying laughing this weekend. Y’all crazeeeeee! Love y’all. ✌🏾
(1/3) Long time, no see! I’ve made an exception this weekend to hop back on for a bit because of the 2020SACE conference. Honestly, I just want to take a moment to recognize the remarkable women, sisters, and role models that make up the SACE organizing team.
(2/3) Each of them have challenged and inspired me. They are strong, ambitious, kind, committed, and supportive. A whole bag of exceptional really. I do not know where I would be without them. They have allowed me to grow so much over the past two years and I am so grateful.
This Sadie Collective conference is EVERYTHING!! When I see all these black economists speaking about race and think of the many times I was told I wasn't a real economist because I studied race 😑, I'm glad that the younger generation won't be bamboozled or hoodwinked.
#SACE2020 is here and we're kicking it off with the Inaugural Research Scholars reception! Our featured scholars are here sharing more on their transformative research.
How can we better help HBCU students prepare for careers in the energy industry in the #futureofwork with automation? #SACE2020 scholar Alicia Hoey of @DillardU explores the answer in her original research #BlackEconomistsMatter
