We are challenging the corporate banking sector characterised by branch closures and a decline in lending to local businesses and organisations by backing the new North West Mutual Bank.

The mutual has now achieved a significant milestone by obtaining permission to apply for a banking license. This achievement indicates regulators believe they are a credible and viable option.

The NW Mutual will be the first ever regional cooperative bank in the country, based in Preston, with aspirations to establish 60 new branches in the region over the long term and creating over 200 new job opportunities.
