I was happy to host the meeting of Albert Ramdin, Secretary General-elect of the @OAS_official, with Ilan Goldfajn, President @el_BID. It was highly productive, focusing on enhancing collaboration among Inter-American institutions and identifying key areas for cooperation.
The dialogue with civil society at the @OAS_official with Minister Ramdin, was enlightening. It was refreshing to see so many voices come together, reinforcing the pivotal role civil society plays in shaping policies that affect our communities.
Today, I joined Minister Albert R. Ramdin, candidate for @OAS_official Secretary General as he shared his compelling vision for revitalizing the OAS and tackling regional challenges. His commitment to multilateralism, democracy, and sustainable development shone through. #oas
We just wrapped up the Consultation with Caribbean Governors of the @the_IDB in Nassau, Bahamas. Focus on reforms to implement IDB+ strategy. This engagement reaffirmed the IDB’s commitment to empowering #Caribbean nations.

As the world's finance ministers gather at the IMF and World Bank Annual meetings, Suriname is appealing to the international community and to multilateral banks to let forest-rich developing countries pay debt in carbon credits.
