House leadership wants to concur in the Senate amendment when we vote on the appropriations package in the House this week. I have been clear: the SAVE Act/Save America Act must be attached to the rule for these appropriations bills and sent back to the Senate for a vote. The SAVE Act will not pass as a standalone bill, which is exactly why it must be included in the appropriations package. Republicans were elected to secure our elections and require photo ID to vote. Any attempt to concur in the Senate amendment without attaching the SAVE Act will be blocked.

House leadership would love nothing more than to simply concur in the Senate amendment. But let me be very clear: concurring in the Senate amendment does NOT mean we cannot also attach the SAVE Act to the rule. This is my price for a “yes” vote.
