@OtunbaDhiwanna That’s what you tell yourselves in ECOWAS.
Life expectancy increased to 63 years, Nigeria is still at 54…
350k varsity graduates per year, with free tuition
90% access to electricity & water
Free education and public healthcare for all
3mil houses built for our poor
That’s your narrative. We SA’ns get ID’s and passports through the same home affairs in 3 weeks max.
The reality is that your people don’t qualify in many cases and resort to flooding the system with endless appeals for asylum.
There has been a Constitutional Court judgement a few weeks ago to address this immigrant abuse.
The “valid” document bit is patently false in the main. That’s why 90% of the “repatriated” Ghanians were here illegally and 100% of the “repatriated” Nigerians were confirmed to be here illegally and guess what? There are 6000 Malawian economic migrants also due for “repatriation” this weekend. So far, HA has confirmed that none screened are documented.
This underscores the rampant abuse of our systems by migrants.
The issues in my parent tweet concern documented failures at Home Affairs, lost records, blocked renewals and corruption, that affect even legal residents, alongside violence and intimidation targeting communities that include people with valid documentation.
Labelling entire nationalities “scammers” or reducing every case to unethical hustling is the same collective blame that solves nothing. Actual fraud should be punished. Lawful presence and due process should be respected. The rule of law means dealing with individuals according to evidence, not nationality-based insults. Stop killing Black African immigrants.
Thank you.

Stop exporting your poor here…
There is no such permit in SA. If you’re going to debate our laws, atleast inform yourself about them.
He’s simply telling you about the typical modus operandi used by migrants to enter and stay in the country. Most come on Visitor VISA with an intention to stay. Ignorantly, they don’t know that it’s not possible to convert it to a permit in country. You must exit and apply from Nigeria.
The criteria for a permit are very high, your typical migrant being “repatriated” can’t meet it. So, the resort to claim Asylum from persecution in their home countries. They may get it initially but rejected upon review because what Asylum do you need as a Lagosian????
@AyilolaElisha@SavageJollofina The average GDP of Nigeria in that period makes it impossible…..
Nigeria’s average GDP by decade
1960s $5.4bn
1970s $25.8bn
1980s $55bn
We have 4mil migrants here buddy. We took in 250k Zimbabweans to help them. We have one of the most liberal refugees regimes in Africa. We send our own soldiers for peace keeping on the continent.
But, we don’t weaponise it for point scoring or expect anything in return
Stop weaponising Apartheid….
The xenophobic attacks in South Africa have revealed the truth which blacks in that country will be hestitant to appreciate. South Africa's problem is not the Kenyan, Nigerian, Zimbabwean, or Mozambican migrant. Their absence will not create jobs. The challenge is structural, inequality, unemployment, and the unfinished economic legacy of apartheid. Remember the Frontline States that sheltered your freedom fighters. History demands gratitude, not xenophobia. @AyubAbdikadir@CyrilRamaphosa@SuluhuSamia
You didn’t fight for independence. You had no settlers. Once “gained”, you named your country & people after a Mali tribe. Like why??
So we actually don’t know what you mean when you threaten by invoking “might” of Ghanians. There’s no real identity
You are literally South East Mali 🇲🇱
What this man is doing to our country is disgraceful. Wrecking our football and reputation live in 4k on the world stage.
He shouldn’t be in a job by now…
That Hugo Broos formation is traumatizing me. Every time I close my eyes, I see that lineup. 😭💔
Damn him, man. He set our boys up for failure and made them look like they don’t belong on the big stage
@moflavadj His best bet is to stabilise overseas& succeed. Teko mentioned that he has watched the 2010 games over and over thinking about what ifs.
Katlego Mphela still relives the missed goal at the dying minutes of the 2010 opener.
It will be difficult. George Foreman difficult
