Denying Telangana Chief Minister @revanth_anumula garu political clearance for his official US visit is becoming part of a disturbing pattern in how the Centre treats southern states.
His visit, much like mine last year, was in the state’s interest and the larger national interest. He was to engage with universities and pursue institutional partnerships.
The MEA’s explanation that the programme was “not appropriate” is shameful.
What exactly is inappropriate? Visiting leading universities and signing MoUs for your state?
Then what is appropriate? Arm-twisting every investment, institution and collaboration towards Gujarat and other BJP ruled states?
Last year, my official US delegation was denied clearance, only for the same itinerary to be approved once my name was removed. What should one make of it?
The Centre is merely paying lip service to cooperative federalism while treating southern states as second-in-line stakeholders.
The Ministry of External Affairs haven’t even replied to why I was denied permissions earlier.
MoShah’s agenda has always been clear: Viksit Gujarat, not Viksit Bharat.
There have been reports that an IAS officer in Karnataka has gone missing.
The officer concerned has since communicated with the Government and clarified that, due to a family emergency, he had sought leave and had to travel urgently to his hometown.
During this period, he was not reachable on his official phone, which appears to have led to some confusion and speculation regarding his whereabouts. He has since been in touch with the Government and clarified the position.
KEO, our homegrown AI PC, was launched today by the Hon’ble @CMofKarnataka.
Beyond being an affordable grassroots computing device, KEO represents something equally important institutionally.
In the world’s fourth-largest technology cluster, a state-owned enterprise, KEONICS, worked with chip design companies, technology partners and startups to build a product around a clearly identified public need.
The Government of Karnataka identified a gap, brought together the state’s strengths and ecosystem and used technology to solve it at scale.
KEO brings them together around one mission:
making computing truly democratic, helping students learn, create, code and build, while enabling more people to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
@SBG4Hosakote
The world's most affordable AI PC is here, and it's made in Karnataka.
Introducing KEO, a fully indigenous machine designed to make personal computing accessible to everyone.
KEO is built on RISC-V processor and is integrated with AI learning assistant.
Congratulations to the entire team at Keonics for this remarkable achievement.
Our Government remains fully committed to supporting such homegrown initiatives that channel local talent, strengthen national capability and shape the future of AI — for India and the world.
KEO
Made in Karnataka
Made for India
Made for everyone
In 1937, Gandhiji, Patelji, Nehruji, Netaji Bose and Tagore deliberated on which portions of Vande Mataram should be sung publicly and why.
So, are they all “anti-national” now?
If the BJP/RSS is suddenly so concerned about Vande Mataram, let it begin with its own shakhas. Drop “Namaste Sada Vatsale Matrubhume” and sing Vande Mataram instead.
And before the BJP lectures the country, how many of its own leaders can recite the entire Vande Mataram fully?
Let Modi Ji and Amit Shah ji recite the National Song fully without any teleprompter.
But the larger question is: why this manufactured obsession?
Why not the same outrage over the economy? Over jobs for our youth?
Over paper leaks and conducting examinations properly? Over the everyday issues that actually determine the future of millions?
These are nothing but diversionary tactics. These manufactured controversies are designed to distract from the internal issues haunting the BJP:
Chanda Chori, endless paper leaks, Nitin Nabin’s loss, the unanswered questions around PM CARES and more.
When accountability becomes uncomfortable, manufacture a controversy and change the conversation.
Same trick by BJP, every time.
Attended the Southern Zonal Council meeting, convened by the Inter-State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, along with @CMofKarnataka.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among Southern States on key issues, including:
- Inter-State water disputes and resource-sharing
- Cross-border drug trafficking and narcotics control
- Harnessing the potential of the blue economy
- Fair and equitable funding for Southern States
- Improved logistics and port infrastructure
Sri @DKShivakumar also strongly raised Karnataka’s concerns regarding:
- Increasing the State’s share in tax devolution under the 16th Finance Commission to 4.7%
- Safeguarding the representation of Southern States during the delimitation of Parliamentary constituencies
- Reconsidering the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 2026
Remembering former Prime Minister and Sri. Rajiv Gandhi ji on his birth anniversary.
One of the early pioneers who saw technology as a tool to democratise opportunity, empower young India and bridge the distance between citizens and governance.
The confidence India carries in technology today, stands on the foundations laid by his vision. That same vision inspired our government to work on KEO, Karnataka’s homegrown, affordable AI-powered PC, to truly take the technology revolution to the last mile.
Heartfelt tributes to a leader ahead of his time, whose faith in youth, science and modern India continues to inspire us.
New milestone unlocked under Modi ji’s Viksit Bharat 2047.
India, Asia’s fourth-largest equity market, has now replaced Indonesia as Asia’s least-preferred stock market in a Bank of America fund manager survey. Shows the growing nervousness around our equity market that has already been among the world’s worst performers this year.
All the manufactured GDP chest-thumping and claims of being the “4th largest economy” cannot hide the reality. The economy is slipping, reforms are missing and this government continues to function as a crony capitalist regime serving only a chosen few.

From 2,312 blocking orders in 2024-25 to nearly 1.95 lakh in just five months.
That is around 1,275 blocking orders every day, one every 68 seconds.
More than half were directed at Instagram, the platform where young Indians increasingly speak, organise and dissent.
56-inch chest cannot handle criticism, while free speech seems to be a privilege reserved for the BJP IT Cell and its ecosystem
Moiji cares more about protecting views, followers and his online image than protecting democracy.
PM CARES is one of the biggest institutional scams and betrayals of public trust by PM Modi.
Why is the Modi government collecting money from both domestic and foreign contributors in the name of emergency relief, when it has no intention of spending it when it matters?
The 2024-25 audit statement of the PM CARES Fund shows that out of ₹8,452 crore available, only 0.01% has been utilised.
There are also some questionable entries, like ₹324 crore refunded by implementing agencies, with no clarity on who these agencies are or why the money was refunded. Even more suspiciously, the accompanying notes to the financial statement have been omitted.
This fund was set up in March, 2020, as a response to handle emergency and distress situations.
Since then, India has seen the horrors of COVID, major cyclones, devastating floods in states like Kerala and Himachal Pradesh and now severe drought and distress across parts of the country.
Not using money meant for relief while people suffer is plain cruel.
Dear @IncomeTaxIndia, perhaps the scrutiny should begin with the RSS and its sprawling “Vichaar Parivaar.”
Here is a useful starting point for your investigation:
https://t.co/zvgFjmUFSP
It documents more than 2,500 organisations reportedly linked to the RSS.
What exactly do you intend to achieve with this, @IndiaToday and @CNNnews18?
While reporting the KPSC scam and ED raid on former Chairman Shivshankarappa Sahukar, you deliberately splash visuals of the current Congress Government and the CM, while conveniently burying the fact that Sahukar was a BJP appointee as were his Committee members.
And @CNNnews18, using a photograph of Sri. Shamanur Shivashankarappa, who is no more, instead of Sahukar is beyond disgraceful. A simple google search would have shown you exactly who Sahukar is and his affiliations.
This isn’t journalism. It is a politically coloured narrative, manufactured through selective facts and misleading visuals.
Representatives of Karnataka’s civil society called on Hon’ble @CMofKarnataka today and raised serious concerns over the ongoing SIR exercise.
1.09 crore voters are currently in the ASDDO list, while proposed deletions cross 60% in nearly 3,000 booths in Bengaluru. Tenants, people who have shifted for work or marriage, elderly voters and those with minor form errors are among those reportedly at risk of wrongful exclusion from the electoral rolls.
With no election due in Karnataka, there is no justification for rushing a process of this scale. They have urged the Chief Minister to seek an extension from the Election Commission of India, ensure fresh door-to-door verification and protect every eligible voter from wrongful exclusion.
A formal representation in this regard was submitted to the Chief Minister by the civil society representatives.
