@DavidCarve3182 There is a chance. I can say no more.

RuneScape turns 25 years old today

It taught a generation more about inflation, market manipulation, and fraud than school ever could

[2001 Live @25YearsAgoLive]

“RuneScape,” a new MMORPG, is launched.

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@DavidCarve3182 But from an identity standpoint, Tutorial Island is the default assumption of where a RuneScape account begins. So we may as well recognise that's the identity framework and iterate with respect and self-awareness within those margins, versus "here's the old, here's the new".

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@DavidCarve3182 Oh absolutely! RuneScape is a game that keeps evolving and we should definitely strive to improve. Tutorial Island would benefit from a lot of improvements. I'm proud of Davendale and honestly feel it's learned a lot from predecessors.

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@DavidCarve3182 When you look at it through the vision that knows intuitively Lumbridge is home and where your adventure begins, it makes sense to me why the option wouldn't fit... As fond as I am of Davendale, it isn't RuneScape's tutorial.

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@DavidCarve3182 Funnily enough, I suggested that very feature in my project pitch, but it's not a feature we want to include. Thank you for suggesting it, though!

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@JagexSponge The keys, Mason. What do they mean?

[RuneScape @RuneScape]

It's time we take action on our approach to microtransactions in RuneScape.

Gamejam update - did another quest QOL/Shrike Strike. Provisional patch notes:

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@Pickle4202 @tiong_jonathan @JagexShogun I added that in the 110 W&F&F wood spirit prerelease while we were adding wood spirit supply to drop tables, since ankou were on the list of drop tables to modify. Patch notes of https://t.co/ThHxLw1j5x

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@tiong_jonathan @JagexShogun I was asked specifically about ghosts before, and they are prevented from dropping any of those things on F2P worlds.

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@Pickle4202 @tiong_jonathan @JagexShogun You can definitely still get Cremation from ghosts but it is a. very rare drop. You could also try ankou. As of 25th Nov 2024, "Non-elite ankou now drops ghost hunter equipment and Cremation on free-to-play and members worlds."

@Nightsteed @JagexShrike *piqued (pardon my not-French)

[Mod Stu @JagexStu]

@Nightsteed @JagexShrike Just did a codebase search to indulge the curiosity you've peaked, and there appear to be no other references to Sogthorpe.
