On Wednesday morning Sinoj, who runs a lottery shop at Kochi developed severe chest pain while driving himself to a hospital. As traffic came to a standstill, he collapsed inside the car.
Two nurses - Anjali Baiju and Ardra Raj, who were travelling in a bus, noticed the commotion on the roadside. They immediately got off the bus, rushed to the car and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
A passer by Ranjith, took over the car and drove Sinoj to the hospital. The two nurses continued CPR inside the vehicle until Sinoj reached a hospital.
Doctors said he had regained signs of recovery by the time he arrived.
Respect to the two sisters. God bless
This truly made my day
what is the problem in accepting a mistake which has tormented lakhs of youngsters in the country.
What is the hesitation in resigning from ministerial berth when you claim that you are here to serve the people and if people are unhappy with your service please move out
Every ounce of flesh had melted away. His ribs were exposed. He had no strength left to even move.
When the British saw that this 25-year-old boy was not giving up, they forcibly tried to feed him milk by inserting a tube into his nose. The tube went into his lungs instead of his esophagus.
The milk filled his lungs. He continued to suffer, vomiting blood, but he did not break his fast.
On September 13, 1929, a revolutionary died in Lahore jail. 63 days... yes, 63 days without eating a single grain of food.
In the pages of history, we often talk about Bhagat Singh's hanging, but forgot the companion who died in Bhagat Singh's arms.
Today we are talking about 'Yatindra Nath Das', known to the world as 'Jatin Da'.
He was a bomb maker by profession, but his own body became his weapon.
If he wanted, he could have apologized, he could have eaten. But he had only one demand: "Stop treating Indian political prisoners like animals."
The British thought hunger would break him. But they didn't know that his body was made of steel, not clay.
When Jatin Da's condition began to deteriorate, the British crossed all limits of cruelty. The prison doctor and guards pinned him down. A tube was inserted through his nose. He screamed in pain, but his resolve remained unshaken.
When news of his martyrdom broke, the entire nation wept.
It is said that when his body was being transported from Lahore to Calcutta, thousands of people stood at every station with flowers. More than 600,000 people attended his funeral in Calcutta.
Subhash Chandra Bose himself shouldered his mortal remains.
But today? How many people today remember that 63-day penance?
As he lay dying, Jatin Da said, "I am not a saint, I am just an ordinary man willing to die for the dignity of his country."
Whether independence came with the spinning wheel or without swords and shields is a matter of debate. But it is true that the decayed bones of young men like Jatin Da are embedded in the foundation of independence.
We did not get this freedom for free; someone sacrificed 63 days of their youth by fasting for it.
It is the duty of every Indian to know the price of the air they breathe.
Share this information so that future generations can know who the real 'heroes' were.
This post is solely to pay tribute to those forgotten heroes.

The hotel that burnt in Delhi had permission for 6 rooms.
They built 25.
They needed NOCs from the fire department and probably the municipality to operate.
They didn't have it.
They were supposed to have a fire escape and an evacuation plan
They didn't.
Every building should be built in such a way that they should give free access to the fire brigade
They didn't.
On the above violations alone, they should have been shut down.
Yet, not only where they operating, they were literally flourishing.
Today 21 people died brutal deaths, including an entire family of 8, because the govt servants that were supposed to ensure stuff like this doesn't happen, took money and looked the other way.
21 innocent people, some of them medical patients, were burnt to death, because a group of people who were supposed to do their job, didn't do it.
21 people looking forward to their lives, were terminated, because a group of rapacious govt servants decided that bribe money was more important than people's lives.
Because for the govt, the value of a life lost due to government negligence, is worth Rs 2 Lakhs in Ex-Gratia.
The bribe amount of looking the other way, is many times that.
And the sad part is, every member involved in the heinous act of allowing this hotel to run and burn, will keep their jobs, get their salary, get the dues that the 8th Pay Commission will inevitable shower on them get promotions where they will take more bribes and kill more people and then retire into a glorious sunset with index linked pensions.
And the guy who ran this hotel. Nothing will happen to him.
He will blame some underling, get a new GST no in his wife's name and then run 14 other hotels like this.
P:S: The Delhi CM has ordered a "Magisterial" enquiry. What's the point of it all, when the so called "Magistrate" might also be the part of this food chain.
P:P:S: If the govt is so serious about punishing the people, let them book every govt officer involved in this in a case of Murder. And then jail them for life.
Respected Modi ji had the political strength to overhaul the system instead he overtly relied on system and Babudom, now we find ourselves at the rockbottom of everything from education to economy , a complete waste of people's mandate and leader's political capital
heaps of garbage, filth, choked drains, stink, over congested roads, air pollution, dirty tap water, illegal constructions, encroachments - this the Capital city of India, but what govt is doing... populist schemes and freebies at the cost of tax payers' money @LtGovDelhi
India is entering that extremely dangerous zone where sons and daughters of several top policymakers, industrialists, civil servants, defence officials and politicians are settled in America, or are citizens of America.
How can they ever take on America when push comes to shove? They'll never ever push back, given direct family interests.
China sidelines all such officials as a principle. No compromise.
But here? They're leading the show.
