Jake Bauers credits "clarity" in the batter's box for his success with the @Brewers:
"I spent years and years thinking about mechanics, worrying if my swing was right..."
2029 C 6’1 175. Best swings off BP machine to end the day and clips from in season upper body day on the lighting lab program. @Jake_Oliger . Hungry to compete and win at next level.
I’ve helped hundreds of baseball players increase their exit velocity and one of the biggest reasons why is I changed the way they worked out
Many Players go to the gym and casually go through their workout just to get it done and leave proud of themselves
I ask my guys to give me more than that
My players train like absolute animals. The intent isn’t to just get the workout done, rather it is to absolutely dominate the weight
Every rep done with intensity like your life depends on it
In between sets Im cool with them hanging out and talking to their buddies, but when its time for the next rep I ask them to give me everything they got
We are training being explosive at all times and that is the difference maker. I want my players to be used to moving fast
Along with that we want to make sure were moving the weight with good form. Sloppy is not good. Professional athletes are explosive and precises with their movements, not fast and out of control. I tell them I want them to move as if they were the video example of the exercise when they look it up
If you start training like this every session you’ll blow past your competition
