We'll spend most of our waking hours working, thinking about work, or consuming resources our labour provides. It's funny to think how shallow the best advice of 'chase passions' really is. Love @80000Hours take on careers & the thinking it fosters https://t.co/xw8DbjkHD8
@brenden_delarua Depends how competitive your market is, what cash conversion cycle is like and if you’re looking for a venture outcome or if you’re hunting profitability
Big fan of what you’re building!!
@gearside Click and collect has high AOV and is growing more than online only. Woolies / Coles will never fully lean into it, it solves the 2 main complaints of online (personal selection / extra fees) and there’s interesting international eg of this experience like HEB in Texas
@gearside I reckon the disruptor is lower SKU, click and collect only in high density suburban areas. The front end is the car park experience and the back end is more like a warehouse. Consumer oks the produce/selection, they put it in your car for you when you pull up and pay online
@HarryStebbings Usually depends how good your product / service is (retention) and the rate at which existing happy customers bring other customers (worth talking about).
It’s just compounding returns from a cold start over time.
Good mental model for it here https://t.co/xFJr9qrtRO.
@kristhejean Awesome. How do you think about production costs and distribution of content like this? It seems like you do this ~monthly and it fuels your top of funnel + works in socials with cut downs?
@oliviaakory A couple that might be tricky but would be cool
- Reach / frequency distribution and correlation with lift
- % of spend against diff audiences (cold/warm/existing)
Hard to account for category, market etc., but might be some interesting patterns seeing effect size is prob big
@oliviaakory General insights around creative would be cool. Could be asset type, length, partner ads, correlation in format ie UGC heavy.
Might be tricky, would love to look at correlation between engagement ie. CTR/hook/hold rates/watch time in account and lift. How correlated are they?
The #1 way to increase your productive output is to have it pulled out of you by a mentor. But if you're asking someone to be your mentor, then you're doing it wrong.
@kristhejean When I think of your brand the first thing that comes to mind is the visual of the hot metal pushing into the leather… n=1 but very unique and gives a hand crafted feeling. Love it
@ashvinmelwani Auto opt in is the real killer, why do I have to opt out of this nonsense
Whoever decided this is a good idea probably had an AI activation rate OKR and got 2 million in RSUs for annoying millions of people
