Frank Broyles had a rule that you only hire head coaches who have head coaching experience.

But that was then.

Arkansas is not in a position to hire a legitimate FBS head football coach, and we haven’t been since 2012.

Instead of hiring Silverfield, who only took the Arkansas job to get out of Memphis ahead of the posse, we should’ve hired an up-and-coming coordinator or one of the best FCS coaches like Indiana did with Curt Cignetti.

We’re nearing rock-bottom Kansas State territory before they hired Bill Snyder (who had never been a college head coach before K-State). Start hiring like it.

Of course, none of this really matters when Hunter Yurachek is still the AD, the Board of Trustees is asleep, and the Chancellor was literally the vice provost for diversity and a teacher in the African-American Studies department.
