BREAKING: Denver Nuggets Guard Jamal Murray was struck by a bolt of lightning after Wednesday's win in Toronto, sources tell ESPN. He will be re-evaluated in 4-6 weeks. Tough loss for the Nuggets who just lost Tim Hardaway Jr. to a wild hog attack.
Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks after sustaining a right calf strain in Wednesdayโs win in Toronto, sources tell ESPN. Another injury blow for third-seeded Denver, which is down 4 of 5 starters, including Nikola Jokic and now his backup.
@WembyCentral Might be too much to give up but I think if the Spurs do this they're in the OKC/Denver tier
The driving lanes MPJ's elite shooting gives the spurs guards would unclog what can be a stodgy offense
Q: Is it worth trading Carter Bryant's/Sochan's potential?
@WembyCentral Adam Silver's capitalist league has only stoked the fires of the proleteriat.
Comrade Wemby will deliver us a glorious cultural revolution of ethical basketball and salary cap redistribution.
Not just Texas, but the entire NBA, will soon be red โญ
The counters, the movement, the shotmaking... This is against long, physical defense too.
The greatest 37 year old season ever and GSW is still under .500.
Every non-steph player is on the trade block now. Bring in size, scoring & athleticism or else this is a wasted year.
@ryenarussillo@Suns@Mishbia15@rBillSimmonsPod Such a nice jab at Bill.
Exclusive interview with a current exec about how he's changed the Suns defense whilst Bill's doing slop rewatchables pods.
Seems like we'll have to wait for the Magic-Isiah crying make up video
GSW are bottom in 2pFG frequency in a season where 2p offense league-wide is more efficient.
Making 2nd most 3s per game is one answer but their offense is predictable & reliant on chucking.
Need a rim finisher & a rolling big at the deadline e.g. Herb Murphy/Jones & Gafford/Zu
For the second straight NBA season, the average 2 point shot is yielding more points than the average 3 point shot
This is after decades of 3s being more valuable
I don't really buy OKC's small market being a factor (Russ/KD were huge stars there) or the fact that he's Canadian (Wemby/Luka are already big stars).
Whatever the reasons are, fans need to get used to Shai.
He's going to be at the very top of the game for a long time.
Considering this is one of the all time great seasons from a defending champion and finals MVP, it's baffling that SGA isn't a WAY bigger star than he is.
๐งต Here's why I think fans haven't taken to him in the same way:
Among ALL 32 PPG seasons in NBA history, 2026 Shai currently ranks...
#1 in 2P% (59.5)
#1 in 3P% (44.3)
#1 in EFG% (61.3)
#1 in RELATIVE TS% (+10.3)
#1 in fewest TOVs (1.7)
#1 in fewest MPG (33.3)
#1 in plus-minus per game (+13.7)
Quite literally the pinnacle of efficiency
I also wonder if everyone was supporting the Pacers last year and the tragic way G7 unfolded tainted his crowning moment in the eyes of most NBA fans.
Pacers were the people's team and one could think of OKC as the goliath that only got over the line cos of a busted achilles.
Why trade Kuminga for Myles Turner and a pick in 2022 when Steph is in his prime when you can trade Kuminga AND a pick for Myles Turner in 2026 when Steph is 4 years older!
Nice take: A perfect play to symbolise Lebron's basketball philosophy
Nasty take: The 10 point streak ended in the 2011 finals, people shouldn't care
Nuanced take: If the #Lakers want to be a title threat this year, which looks possible, this level from Lebron isn't good enough
Exclusively @TheAthletic, LeBron James tells me โIf it had to end, the perfect ending for the streak is tonight. Itโs literally who I am. Thatโs who I am.โ - My story from Toronto on the perfect ending James got to author. https://t.co/Qj6OOHuO6Q
@samesfandiari@TommyGunnNBA@AndyKHLiu
GSW make 50 more passes per game than most of the top offenses in the NBA
Most teams run SOME simpler actions to get efficient isos
Is it just Ws being scared shitless to shoot or should Kerr adjust the offense to fit the new NBA?
The Warriors are passing the ball more than any other NBA team this season, but have just the 22nd ranked offense
The Lakers and Thunder pass the ball throw the fewest passes of any teams
@DaTermonCash Yeah without Gordon and Braun they look very average on D
Definitely agree it's regular season effort, particularly from Jokic. We saw what they can do on D last playoffs though
I'd be surprised if they aren't a good defense come playoff time
Denver's case to win it all in a nutshell.
A 124.2 offensive rating and 3 players who can get 40+ in a given playoff game. The team is impossible to guard and can lock in on D when it matters.
OKC are favourites but I don't have Denver much behind them
If there's one thing I've learned, it's to take the Clippers' side on these things. Always.
It most likely comes down to this: CP3 was not aligned with their environmental goals.
It's not all about basketball and it's not all about relationships. It's about saving the planet.
