For too long, Nigerians have asked one question: "What exactly does the House of Representatives do?"
At the 3rd National Assembly Open Week, we are answering that question with facts, figures, and full transparency.
@Imranmuhdz Thank you Imran for sharing my presentation this morning. Improvement in governance is a gradual process & provided we keep our eyes on the goal and engage critically but constructively, there’s nothing we can’t achieve as a people!

CLARIFICATION ON THE ZARIA EVENT VIDEO
The young man involved in the now viral video from the Zaria declaration of Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, has explained what REALLY happened.
He stated that he was attempting to draw Mr. Speaker's attention to his medical issue and request help for a hand fracture treatment. During security personnel's attempt to pull him back, he unintentionally gripped the Speaker’s babanriga.
Not every moment should be twisted for political narratives.

@GallantDaletian Sambisa Game Reserve is officially 518 km², as confirmed by multiple Nigerian sources. The claim of 66,000 km² (twice Belgium/Israel) confuses the tiny reserve with Boko Haram's temporary zones across Borno. Borno State is 70,898 km² — that's the real giant. Facts matter.

IN MEMORY OF DR. CHAMBERLAIN DUNKWU
I am deeply saddened by the passing of my deputy, Dr. Chamberlain Dunkwu. His death is a painful loss.
Chamberlain stood very close to me in the work we carried out every day. Our relationship went beyond official responsibilities. He was a brother, a confidant, and someone whose judgment and loyalty I trusted completely. In the demanding environment of supporting the Speaker and the House of Representatives, he remained steady and deeply committed to the institution.
He brought energy and life to the office. Lively in spirit and tireless in effort, Chamberlain played a central role in interfacing with Honourable Members and maintaining the strong working relationships that kept the office functioning effectively. He was a natural mobilizer who carried people along with warmth, humour, and an infectious sense of purpose.
Many of the successes of the Office of the Speaker were supported by his diligence, intellect, and sense of duty. His absence will be felt deeply within the office and among the many Members and colleagues who worked closely with him.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time.
May his soul rest in peace.
