The University of Illinois football stadium is named Memorial Stadium to honor alumni, students, faculty, and staff who died in the nation's wars and conflicts.
It was originally built in 1923 as a tribute to those who perished in World War I.
The stadium's iconic east and west colonnades feature 200 pillars. The names of Illini veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice in World War I are etched into the stone.
In 2002, the memorial was extended to honor the 948 alumni, students, faculty, and staff who died in U.S. wars since 1918. Their names are engraved on four limestone tablets at the entrances. #Illini. #MemorialDay
OK, this is getting silly now.
In their last 14 games, the Brewers have started 0 pitchers that were on their 2025 opening day roster.
In that time they have gone 12-2 and starters have 73 IP, 94 K, 1.73 ERA, 0.97 WHIP
Their contributions helped shape the foundation of Illinois Football.

Dan Hurley offering the ref his glasses and then asking him if he’s tried laser or lasik is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in basketball
The seriousness in his face makes it that much better 💀
