@xpertfusion3 The matchmaking at launch was absolutely nowhere near anything like we had from mw2019-bo6 that much is true. However, what we had in that 2nd beta week of bo7 compared to the launch was not the same at all.

@xpertfusion3 That's because they did lie about it. Matt Scronce himself is on video saying the matchmaking from the 2nd week of that beta will be the standard at launch. Then a couple days before launch they say a "majority" of the playlists will have open matchmaking "similar" to the beta.

I'll fix it for you: "This now means Activision's recent statements claiming they cannot mimic the old 2012 system because those games didn't have dedicated servers WERE LIES." Every day I'm getting more and more reasons to piss off with this franchise.

Even with dedicated servers added to Black Ops 2, the matchmaking system remains the same as what it was in 2012

It's honestly sad to say but I'm so fatigued on Call of Duty to the point I don't even want to touch the BO1 and BO2 ports. Even though those games are infinitely more enjoyable I find it difficult to find any desire to touch any sort of Call of Duty game anymore.

SBMM in call of duty has to go

with Call of Duty's refusal to chill out with the SBMM in spite of the feedback I have to assume Activision must have an outrageous monetary value attached to it as a company asset and waved in front of investors. Maybe even used in the Xbox acquisition to determine company valuation for purchase.

and on paper with their precious data I'm sure it does look good. But if you look up from the desk and see what people are saying about MW4 the single most glaring issue almost consistent across the board is the skill based matchmaking turning every game into a chore, regardless of tweaks and fixes to movement, TTK, etc.

anyone who enjoys the SBMM as it is now is self reporting they are exactly the type of awful player Activision seems so keen to protect from getting their feelings hurt by a loss. Once upon a time if you were bad at a game you just lost. That's it. Try again. Now it all has to be perfectly tailored to maximize player retention with a psychologically-proven ratio of kills, deaths, losses, and wins to make someone keep the game on for just a bit longer. This is not "fun", it is manipulation. None of it is real.

anyway, I cancelled my MW4 pre order because I've got enough responsibilities in life as it is now, I don't need another job that will pay me nothing but battle pass progression. Hats off to those of you that don't, I wish you well with MW4.

@tdawgsmitty @InfinityWard @CallofDuty As much as I'd love for them to address our concerns and give us what they know we want, there's part of that knows they're just gonna ignore us the same way they did back in 2019. Still holding out a sliver of hope but it's fading fast...
