@EricEstepp17 The thing I want to know is who's saving tires? I feel like Larson can't be. He's 3sec back.
But then again. He's relocated Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus' golden horseshoe so maybe he is. And all he really needs is a well timed yellow
@jeff_gluck Okay then come up with a solution for incentivizing drivers mid race and preventing sandbagging
And don't say shorter races. A cup race should not be 300mi or less.
@Kenny_Wallace Guy on 100+ lap older tires should not be running the same lap times and pulling away from cars on fresh tires.
The "passing" is manufactured because the 2 lines at Bristol are too equal. Frustratingly equal all race long
@jeff_gluck I'm voting no in spite of the incredible finish and the fight
Bristol still has a very serious Gen 7 car and tire wear problem that needs adressed. The first 400 laps of the race were meh to outright bad
@KinahanSean@bobpockrass August 2004 and Spring 2012
August 2004 was a tire frenzy race (Dale Jr race)
And Spring 2012 was "new" new Bristol and then they reconfigured that track again that year between dates.
@tsmitty350@jeff_gluck The problem is the reason it became Concrete was the load on the asphalt. They had repave it every year or nearly every year. If you notice in old photos the track is always jet black. That's not sealer
@jeff_gluck This sucks. NASCAR has to stop sitting on their hands and get radical with this car.
Bristol's gonna lose a race because of NASCAR'S incompetence
@FWRobbins45@NASCAROReillyAP@sheldoncreed@ItsBristolBaby You're 100% right.
But progressive banked Bristol is still better than I'd say a good half of the tracks on the schedule. But the Gen 7 car does not showcase that. In fact, it does the opposite
@RecceWhite@NASCAROReillyAP@sheldoncreed@ItsBristolBaby@NASCAR Car needs fundamentally redesigned. It'll probably never happen but that's what it needs. O'Reilly only runs 650 and that was agreat race.
Pray for tire gate. Doubt it with temperature but pray for tire gate if we want a good cup race
