Think well of others and see what it does to your heart. Each time you hear something bad about others, don’t spread it, give them the benefit of the doubt. Put yourself in their position. Protect yourself from worrisome thoughts that disturb your mind. Keep the peace.
There seems to be a fresh generation of young dads who have made it their mission to be present in the lives of their children. No matter what hardships they face, they make an effort. Most of them say they never had present dads and refuse to transfer the pain to their children. It's noticeable. It's commendable.
I was born in Nelspruit Mpumalanga and when I was 5 years old Mom took me to live with my GrandMa in Roma Lesotho 🇱🇸 when i was 12 years old i moved back to my Mom's most of my life.
I never once questioned my Parents income‼️
It was never a discussion.
We ate homemade meals consisting of meat, pap and vegetables - (which were not an optional choice).
We didn't talk unless told to, hence we were known as the silent generation. We never touched anything that did not belong to us.
We never opened a refrigerator at anyone's house unless asked to do so. We were taught to respect other peoples property.
And we were rewarded for acting properly.
We grew up during a time when we cleaned house, pulled weeds, babysat, helped with all chores.
We by no means were given everything we wanted.
We went outside a lot to play, run with friends, play hide and seek.
We rarely just sat inside.
Bottled water would stay in the cabinet until Jesus Came.
If we had a Coke, it was in a glass bottle, and we didn’t break the bottle when finished.
We saved the bottle for the return money.
We had to tell our Parents where we were going, who we were going with, and be home before dark.
After dark we were told to return to where we have been but instead we would apologize and stay by the door until parents have calmed down and opened
You LEARNED from your parents instead of disrespecting them and treating them as if they knew absolutely nothing.
What they said was LAW and you did not question it and you had better know it! We watched what we said around our elders and neighbors because we knew if we DISRESPECTED any grown-up, we would get a real good whooping, it wasn't called abuse, it was called discipline‼️
We held the doors for others and carried the shopping into the house. We gave up our seat for an older person without being asked.
You didn't hear swear words on the radio in songs or on TV.
“Please and Thank you", were part of our daily vocabulary‼️
The world we live in now is just so full of people who hate and disrespect others.
Friends, consider Re-posting if you're thankful for your childhood.
I will never forget where I am from.
It’s extremely important to learn how to be ok on your own. You have to learn how to pick yourself back up when you fall, provide for yourself, wipe ur tears away & make yourself happy. Having people there for you is truly great but you can't depend on them to always be there
When you work really hard you get to reap great benefits from your efforts. I made R103618.68 from October till December last year. It's the highest amount I've ever made. Check the thread for platforms I used to make this amount.
