We have in America today a working class whose weekly wages, adjusted for inflation, are LOWER than they were 50 years ago.
Is that remotely acceptable to you? I don't think so.
Many churches who claim to have a volunteer problem actually have a complexity problem.
They have too many competing ministry programs and events requiring more volunteer help and resources.
When each of us looks back at all the turns and folds God has allowed in our lives, I don't think it will look like a series of folded-overs. Instead, I think we'll conclude in the end that maybe we're all a little like human origami and the more creases we have, the better.
