@bennash 100%. And I agree that new forms of togetherness are needed to combat this but it feels it’s too late. That’s why from my pov promoting these flag wavers as rebels is a bit off the mark. They’ve been conned. We need to combat racism and demonisation of them at the same time

@bennash What needs to happen is for the working class to come together with middle class and get back to unions and holding power to account with our own labour - to claim back what has been stolen. Not to attack immigrants and wave flags. That’s just another side show.

@bennash Well it hasn’t here. It’s said with respect and care for all sorts of people - mainly from Europe who come here every summer to help us out and get told to ‘go back home’.
@bennash Immigration makes a net positive on national income raising more taxes significantly than we spend in money for social security. That’s just a fact. They also do the jobs white English people refuse to do. Like care for us on the NHS and pick fruit.
