Took part in @Natures_Voice #BigGardenBirdWatch with @LisaRoseJepson and @Lazuli27, only 8 birds recorded - 2 Robins, 2 Blue Tits, 3 Wood Pigeon & 1 Wren. However, hundreds of Pink-Footed Geese flying over, also Rooks, finches, Fieldfare & Redwings skillfully avoiding the garden!

Mary Wollstonecraft #Shelley was born today in 1797. She wrote the Gothic novel #Frankenstein published in 1818. We commemorate her with a specimen that looks like a wasp, a damselfly and a mantis all in one - truly a Frankenstein example in the natural world, a mantisfly.
