I used to get frustrated by math teachers who’d get frustrated that I couldn’t do math as easily and well as they could.
Now, I find myself getting (silently) frustrated when others can’t keep or even comprehend rhythm as easily and well as I can.
I get it now.
This is day number whatever, anxiously awaiting the opportunity to play Baldur’s Gate 3. Already know I��m going to be a smooth-talking, slightly shady bard.
Let me tell you… It has taken eight months (!) to get my query letter into a state that I actually like. Were I working with a standard genre piece, it probably wouldn’t have taken so long. But I could never make things so simple for myself.
Forgot which “flavor” of incense I have burning, but it smells like the kind I almost (accidentally) scattered upon the people in the front pew at high mass when I was a tween.
I wonder if (and hope that) the entertainment industry is on the verge of another boon of the soul. And that’d be thanks to the current strikes. It’s about time. First New Cinema, then indies in the ‘90s & early ‘00s. It’s time to happen again. What think ye?
