No better time to get back to tweeting than after I was fortunate enough to have an op-ed published in the @nytimes yesterday (https://t.co/quUtiTFHSK) and to be a listener-contestant on @waitwait last week.
Fellow Jan. 6 Committee staffer and friend @thomasjoscelyn thoroughly takes down @TuckerCarlson Jan. 6 “investigation” with cherry-picked clips. It was a violent insurrection. We watched the tapes; we interviewed people who stormed the Capitol. @politico https://t.co/iqvdP5mpTW
If @HouseGOP wants new Jan 6 hearings, bring it on. Let’s replay every witness & all the evidence from last year. But this time, those members who sought pardons and/or hid from subpoenas should sit on the dais so they can be confronted on live TV with the unassailable evidence.
Not to mention that the Capitol security cameras don’t capture everything or every angle. They don’t record sound. We watched thousands of hours of other records in addition to the security footage to get the full story of a violent, attempted insurrection.
Curating 1/6 footage that doesn't feature violence does not somehow cancel out the violent footage of the insurrection. Video in which no one is being attacked doesn't make the actual attacks that were captured on video any less horrific. We shouldn't have to explain this.
Check out my interview tonight on @NewsHour where we discussed how, despite what some have said, Jan. 6 was an insurrection and how efforts to whitewash that truth endanger democracy https://t.co/7ocVTtW3ci

The best birthday present I could ever hope for? The best basketball player of all time (@KingJames) taking over the top scoring spot. Respect to the greats, but my God.
@ChrisMurphyCT We found similarly frightening messages while @January6thCmte investigated rioters in the lead up to the attempted insurrection. Many reiterated the same after they failed on January 6. I collected a good number of the statements here (https://t.co/MjjvlW7ccM…)
It will likely get little to no attention today that the current front runner for the Republican presidential nomination just told his supporters to start arming themselves for a civil war to overthrow the government in the case he loses.
Just Trump being Trump! So quirky!
"A few of the defendants we interviewed complained of being misled by social media, which seems to have pushed them into conspiracy theory rabbit holes like QAnon."

It was such an honor to be a guest on @WagnerTonight and to speak with @alexwagner about the continuing threats our democracy faces from widespread distrust in our governing institutions. Special thank you to Alex and all for putting me at ease before my 1st TV appearance!

I’m glad you found my piece enlightening @garymasonglobe - it’s important that we keep having honest conversations about how politicians like Trump prioritize their power over democracy.
@justinhendrix@JamesSasso Really good explanation. I hope we can get there bc we're on a bad path right now. Thanks for all your hard work @JamesSasso.
