Orange Farm, Gauteng, South Africa; all I is the poverty and desperation of our people during the COVID-19 lockdown. How can one have social distancing when our people are hungry.
I have been working in the community for 25 years & I have never seen people so desperate.
Thank you to the Mandela Foundation for including me in the bespoke conversation with Malala Yousafzai
I am fully supportive of Malala’s campaign to fight against suffering of women in Afghanistan along with other gender oppressive regimes

When I work overnight on Robben Island I am always reminded of the stark brutality of apartheid and the huge sacrifices made by many South Africans in order to achieve their dream of a free and democratic South Africa.
Let’s work together to Make real change Happen
Awesome morning yesturday spent with the St John’s College class of 63 at our school Masibambane College
St John's College serves a greater community and one example of their many outreach projects is our partnership in bringing quality education to the Orange Farm community

After a week away visiting Friends of Education Africa in London. It was a good opportunity to start to build new relationships with new people.
It was lovely to receive a warm welcome back at the office from the Education Africa Team.

Today, I was honoured by the Nelson Mandela Foundation as I officially handed over “ The James Urdang & Education Africa Collection” made up of images and memorabilia — with the Foundation which will be stored in their archives forever.
Thank you @NelsonMandela
Very inspired ran my first half marathon at Old Eds this morning, my first in 10-years. I have health challenges as a chronic asthmatic and blown disks in my lower-back with sciatica, which has limited me in doing one.
Pleased with my official time of 1:55:05.
Spent a lovely Woman’s Day morning with the talented photographer Caroline Suzman at the contemporary art exhibition at UJ where artists were tasked to reinterpret vintage prints giving new life to the silent landscape as depicted by artists of the early 20th century
We’re always celebrating at Education Africa. Last week, President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement that sign language is now recognised as South Africa’s 12th official language. We are celebrating by adding another dead school to our Marimba Hubs programme
Happy Mandela Day
Tata you’ve been gone for 10 years but today we toast the legacy you’ve left behind. It is why I have dedicated not 67-minutes but over 30 years of my life, working relentlessly at Making real change Happen.
A peak of my life: https://t.co/2VAT4Us43v
Making something out of nothing, or making real change happen when it seems to be impossible is one of our favourite things to do at Education Africa.
This time the spotlight is on our incredible ECD team - it’s resource-making season and our team is just showing off!
I was wondering the similarities of donkey and me.
Donkey personality type is an ESFP (Extroverted, Sensing, Feeling and Perceiving).
Donkey’s are effectonate and seek out their trust in humans or animals. So next time you see a donkey give it a hug.
