Pride is for everyone! 🏳️🌈 CTs learned more about the LGBTQ+ community and its history. Panel members shared insights into their experiences in BCPS as a member or ally of the LGBTQ+ community. Thank you @BaltCoSMOB for joining us today! #pride#PrideMonth#Pride2022
An amazing last staff meeting of the school year celebrating Pride month with some amazing panel speakers. Yet again, so grateful to be part of such an amazing cadre of caring, open-minded, special individuals. @BaltCoPS#pride
@rjSarafan @Ellelinder @LbudisaLila Whoa! Slavery? Dangerous for other dogs, people and itself. Ever see a dog get hit by a car? It’s a sound you never forget!
I enjoyed the 5th graders Hidden Figures of the American Revolution Living Museum. I was so impressed by how much some of the students I had for 3rd grade 2 years ago have grown 🥰🥰
Curious about the Consulting Teacher role & how CTs support teachers in BCPS? Interested in speaking to a current CT? Join us on Thurs., Dec. 16 for an Open-Door session! Sessions are 4-5pm or 5-6pm virtually. Hope to see you at this informal open-door session! @BaltCoPS
My ❤️s. I’ve been out since I was a teenager and faced some real challenges. Some struggle and some don’t. Some have acceptance and loving families while others don’t. If you know someone who is struggling, support them, listen to them, be there for them. #NationalComingOutDay
I relate to so many parts of this article. If nothing else, read the section titled “Connect with Them”So easy to do! You don’t have to be LGBTQ+ to display a symbol of acceptance! It means you are an ally to all!🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 @bcps_par@ASCD@cultofpedagogy#representationiseverything
One of my fave ways to build culture is to reward everyone in honor of one. “Because Jenny had such a great week, all of you get 10 extra minutes of recess in her honor. Thank her not me.” This can be done school wide as well.
