@afneil I think that the tax base has been narrowed in part to hide or minimise the economic stagnation across recent years.

Potentially, we may now be at the limits of this approach. Hence the suggestions of confiscation of 'wealth' that has already been taxed but not yet realised.

@StevenEdginton Unfortunately you just missed some of my relatives, who experienced marked changes in their areas. Now all dead. Their children, grandchildren, etc. have all exited these original 'ancestral' locations.
