Getting some of that mRNA, my second shot of #Pfizer vaccine! Hope we can control the spread of this crazy virus and get a chance to learn to live with it. Who's got their shots? #GetVaccinated#herdimmunity#publichealth
So happy to dogsit Tina, the rescue pitbull, for a few days. She's such a good girl, so well behaved and will shower you with kisses given the chance. #RescueDogs#pitbull#DogsofTwittter
We cycled laps on the Formula 1 track in Austin! Being a huge F1 fan, I was trying to take the racing line but clearly lacked speed, haha. But so cool that this even happens. #cota#F1#cyclinglife
I just signed up to get on #DrB's COVID #vaccine standby list. It's a free US service that will notify you when unclaimed doses become available in your area. Sign up at https://t.co/Ivm932j8gU and spread the word. Let's beat this virus! #TechForGood
A perfect day in Austin for riding twisty roads. It's been a while since I've worn these Kangaroo leathers, harking back to Chicago days when I dragged knee around race tracks. Still fits after 15 years! :) #sundayvibes#bmwmotorrad
All recovered from the Texas winter storm and luckily no big issues for us besides these downed branches. Nothing a chainsaw and some loppers can't handle! #austinpoweroutage#WinterStorm
Wow, feeling truly blessed. Thanks @amyknightwriter for writing this beautiful poem about Eudaimonia. You have a gift with words 😀

And here's the @TEDx talk that inspired the poem: https://t.co/FUW1YEAwYr

Survival tip: when the power goes out, finish the ice cream! :D
Day 2 of no power but we're doing ok, thanks to gracious friends who have power.

How's this for Texan weather? 6 inches of snow in Austin and it's 9 F (-12 C). Lost power last night and worked up a good sweat with frozen fingers clearing our driveway so our front-wheeled Prius could take us to a friend's place. #Snowmageddon2021#austinsnow#StayWarm
Not really roughing it when we camp with a two burner stove and Moka pot 😊 And that's my girl, Sangita, scraping every last bit of egg white 😅 #dontwaste#camplife#miniadventure#stateparks
A wonderful start to the new year with a camping and hiking trip to the Davis Mountains in western Texas. We had a reservation at the nearby McDonald Observatory but it was cancelled due to the spike in cases. But we still enjoyed the bright night sky and the remote outdoors.
Found a beautiful spot near Wolf Creek Pass to set up home for the night. It was chilly at 10,500 ft and the ability to have a roaring fire was much appreciated. With the fire right next to the creek and surrounded by a stone fire ring, we were on top of #firesafety.
Ah, the benefits of wild camping with a 4 wheeler - we can haul a lot more comforts, like a collapsible table, two burner propane stove, and all the water we need for a few nights out in the wild. We camped at above 10,000 ft near Groundhog Mountain and woke up to a new fall day.
Reached Colorado and staying in this log cabin, acclimatizing and working remotely for a few days and then we're off into the backcountry, boondocking in the national forests :) #Outdoorplay
Zyra and I rode to Dallas, then she hitched a ride on this trailer for the thousand mile journey into the Rockies. No use wasting those brand new knobby tires on the pavement. Excited to see how she likes the altitude ;) #drz400#AdventureTime
There's a motorcycle in the kitchen and I think Sangita approves! It was so hot a few days ago and I still had so many things to do on the DRZ. So satisfying to wrench on the bike and end the day with greasy hands ;) #drz#adventure#FridayFun
Look at all those fresh #Shisito Peppers! This pepper plant is finally starting to produce a good yield. Planted it back in May and maybe it's happy now with the slightly cooler weather. I grilled them up with some olive oil and rock salt, so good.
Back home after a good 2,600 mile, 9 state motorcycle ride across the #AmericanSouth. Kassya did great, not a single issue on the whole trip. Seems like motorcycle touring can be a safe socially-distanced activity 😊 So what're you waiting for? Get riding!
