FLICKERSTATE by F.A. Davidson is one of those stories with a magic/ability system so vast & layered that it was hard to follow. I started this audiobook and then had to break out my physical copy so I could tandem-read and hope I absorbed it better. That’s not to say that it 1/2

4⭐This world and magic continue to fascinate me. TIDES OF FORTUNE is your typical quest across the lands with a found family. I would have liked to had more magic and adventure in this one but it was more about character development.

5⭐A perfect ending. I love the growth of our FMC and how she is working through the mental block of her magic. The wider plot of two religions stoking war due to a man's perversion of the True Religion speaks to an endless battle that we still deal with today.
