@jae_aiden@DINOTEI1 My coworker went with her family to stanford D1 after getting into BTS with the Netflix stuff and loved the whole experience! But she was surprised by the negative stuff on social media saying the crowd was dead. She felt like the energy was so high
@SakuraRodrigue3@dazzitan There were a LOT of people recording the concert on their phones, I think he was talking about that and not people scrolling on their social media. I know my first BTS concert I spent most of it recording since I wanted to remember everything! Now I only take a few pictures
@yoong1Ph@FBelludo19801@knjpagee So what does that matter? He doesn't want you on your phone period. He wants to see faces, we should all put our phones down and stop streaming and recording
@Livheartt I was in the 200s and I could hear so many singing along, to the point I couldn't hear the boys at times. My voice is gone since I was singing and screaming so much
When I first saw BTS’s comeback stage, I was surprised by its lack of pageantry. With a title like Arirang, I had expected something closer to their 2018 MMA performance. Instead, the stage was stark, like a frame or portal, allowing the real grandeur to come from Gwanghwamun in the background. In contrast, BTS was warm and at ease with ARMY
What surprised me then feels clearer in their concerts. The same sensibility runs through them: pared-back staging, beautiful imagery & performances that do not need excess in order to feel grand. The scale is still immense, but their exchanges with ARMY keep the work open & human
One way to understand this is through the concept of pungnyu, a Korean mode of cultivated elegance in which aesthetic refinement does not separate itself from human connection
More and more, I feel like they’re inviting us to mature with them. To recognise this type of beauty that still delights in the imperfections of humanity, like a moon jar
That they’re moving away from spectacle, alone
And drawing us deep into their art as co-participants
