@bouncerbeater@Angiemut 🙄 Are these what you would call ‘major’? Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, in my area (large, but not superstores) none have trolley ‘scan yourself’, basket only or self-scan gun. I don’t live in a big city, maybe that’s why 🤷🏽♀️
@amelia_tweetz I fully understand and I empathise.
Unfortunately for me, I value privacy. Hotels don’t give that. People everywhere watching you come and go… having to get dressed to look at least near normal to sit having breakfast with 40 others in a room isn’t my ideal.
@KenBeckett11@Angiemut Wow, never. In the local Tesco, for example, the self checkouts are small, no conveyors. It would be a juggling act to scan a trolley load. They would hold up people with baskets trying to shop,scan, go.
I’m finding people getting very emotive on this if opinions vary to theirs.
@untzy@Angiemut Not in my local stores they don’t . No trolleys on self scan.
Someone handling my shopping refers to every item I chose to buy, even some cashiers commenting on items, I don’t want their opinions. YOU plank, what a rude and ignorant comment.
@m_mouse21@Angiemut I can understand that, fair enough.
I see food shop as a chore, but prefer to chose my produce not order online and get ridiculous ‘swaps’ if not available.
But I do think some, who want to rip my spleen out as I prefer to self scan, are going a tad too far.
