I have co-authored another article with @dylanwiliam published with @ASCD our tips & advice for getting “Think-Pair-Share” right in the classroom https://t.co/igVrNQ8be5
@PaynesMeToSay@sefeil@dylanwiliam@ParkerPhonics Thanks Dylan. Have just started thinking about writing about literacy with a big focus on reading and the importance of formative assessment in this process so this will be useful to read.
My 3rd article for the EU Assess@Learning project—on "Activating learners: as owners of their own learning, and as learning resources for one another"— is here:
https://t.co/Cds9onJZGv. The 1st and 2nd are also there, in English, Estonian, Finnish, Greek, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Around this time, on September 30th, I will be presenting a workshop on "Embedding formative assessment" for the Knowledge Source Institute (KSI): https://t.co/OgqmvP0dwF
@Aspeaky To be honest, I haven't read these since they came out. I am scanning all copies of journals that I have that are not available online just to save shelf space. I then thought that I might as well, depending on the copyright situation, make them available to others...
New data: growth mindset isn't enough. S's need to know what to do with the belief that they can get smarter, i.e. they need meta-cog skills ($) https://t.co/fcNyURmqOu
@dylanwiliam Interesting. Also to see where Australia sits. Always remember words from your presentations, ‘You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts.’
Never shut the door on students; regardless of what poor choice they make.
There should always be another chance & there should always be room for redemption.
The worst response we can have is to close the door, lock it & throw away the key.

One of the best ways for schools to teach empathy, respect, inclusion and compassion, is to as adults, model these behaviors each and every day for our students.
It can be easy to forget, but our students are always watching.
Fantastic article in @theTiser about #SA's youngest #entrepreneurs that includes Elliott from G3D who got his start in #3dprinting and #3ddesign via being taught Makers Empire at his school. https://t.co/JWXnLCXpKs

Thrilled to get such a great review by @educationalappstore: "Makers Empire 3D is a great way to introduce 3D modelling and computer skills to children... Makers Empire 3D is by far one of the best 3D computer-aided design applications we have seen." https://t.co/H3NSY6AWbU
