After a positive Diversity and Inclusion training session, we loved ending the day in a diverse young woodland - thanks @SylvaFoundation for hosting us!
Today our team visited one of the World's most biodiversity places..the Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst. From underground vault to Wealden ancient woodland in a few minutes, we appreciated the importance of ensuring resilient genetic resources to help tackle climate change.
Come and work alongside our team - Vacancy for the Chair of the statutory Forestry and Woodland Advisory Committee (FWAC) in South East England for @ForestryComm . Deadline Midday on 21st June. https://t.co/vMvzPWB6d2 (Renumeration for c10 days a year).
We're at the Oxfordshire Young Farmers Club County Show today! A beautiful day to come and talk to us about woodland creation. See you there! @ForestryComm
Always a good week when it includes visiting 2 national parks in 2 days...considering open habitat restoration and blended finance in the New Forest and South Downs respectively.
Inspiring visit to Enfield to see current woodland creation to slow the flow as part of publicly accessible greenspace! Views down to central London from the greenbelt, volunteers busy planting trees....
It was really encouraging ending the week gathering relatively new entrants to the Forestry sector, in a Hampshire woodland (of course!) to consider the key questions of woodland management. Thanks to Prof Julian Evans, hosting us with good questions, stories and flapjack!
Need to move trees originating within the Ips demarcated area? Check out our new guide first to help answer all your questions.
