At yesterday’s Opening Gala of the Polish Jazz Festival 2026 at Cadogan Hall, Cllr Janet Evans, Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, paid a deeply moving tribute to the victims of 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre, marking the 25th anniversary of the tragedy.
She named, among others, the eight Polish victims.
The moment was all the more poignant because Janet herself has Polish roots.
The packed hall rose to its feet in applause to honour the victims.
