People can develop pneumonia after COVID-19 or other respiratory infections
Seek medical care if you have symptoms described in this screenshot from the American Lung Association.
Don't assume it's long COVID. It could be pneumonia (treatable).

@travis_demaria@DrGorfinkel@DFisman Wastewater in the grey area are ESTIMATES only. The most recent levels are higher than average for this time of year.
Hi. Iβm Janet. I live in Ontario, Canada and I refuse to accept that infections and reinfections are inevitable - I will continue do my utmost to break chains of transmission by wearing a mask. I refuse to knowingly endanger myself or others. Will you join me?
@jordanliles And the "Flat-earthers" will claim she fell off the edge of the earth and had to have her legs amputated! People need to learn to think critically.
If youβre really worried about an mRNA vaccine versus the virus, you should stop right now
The virus has much more mRNA, uses it harmfully, and puts it all over your organs
@Billius27 I would like to be able to find this data weekly but the PHO hospitalization chart only goes until September 3 and says 265 hospital admissions. Link? Help?!
@imgrund Yes, thank you for the clarification. The numbers posted today also only include new cases up until July 9 and do not include the 2,000 new ones that you reported today.
@imgrund There are now a total of 1,338,779 cases up 8,813 from last week's total of 1,329,966. This is an average of 1,259 new cases per day in the last week, not 2,000.
@imgrund Ontario ended its daily reporting of COVID statistics yesterday (Saturday). While case numbers were only the tip of the iceberg, now there is no place to check hospitalizations and ICU levels!
@imgrund Hospitalizations have almost doubled (98% increase) in the 2 weeks and 1 day since the mask mandate was lifted. Is there other indicator that shows that this was a good decision? No.
@imgrund@celliottability Hospitalizations were 707 a week ago and now are 804. That is an increase of 97. 97 of 707 is only 13.7% increase in the past week, not a 45% increase.
@imgrund@imgrund Do you know if the positive results for travel testing get included in the daily provincial numbers, since they are being paid for by individuals and not the government? (ie. data is for private use)
