We all feel anger in some moments, and we all feel love. We have a choice as to what we show as our priority. May our actions today show more love than anger
I wish that everyone could talk with people whose background is different than theirs. It can take you outside your comfort zone, but please take the chance when you get it.
A lower risk option is to eavesdrop on some conversations I have recorded. https://t.co/rQM6Kv8w7i
@ESL_fairy I stopped by the vet today. While there, a cat crawled into my lap. He got so involved in the neck scratches that he lost his balance and fell off. Then he wandered away, clinging to what little dignity he had left.
Twitter/X has wretched stuff, but it also has cat stories
@keetmuise My mother has started inviting me to keep my shoes on in the house, which confuses me. As a kid, she was the one who taught me to take my shoes off in the house. The world is being turned on its head.
Every so often a page on the internet asks me to click on pictures to prove that I’m not a robot. I always get nervous that I will fail the test and discover that I was a robot and nobody told me
I got a chance to film conversations about their faith with two Sikhs and a Muslim yesterday, and I was struck by the common elements. We are all human and we care about our kids, build relationships with other people and look for meaning in our lives.
The article below talks about a meeting I was privileged to chair last week, where we brought together people from 20 different faith groups to talk about the Israel/Hamas conflict. It gave a chance to feel "less alone in our pain." @Interfaith_Chat

This morning the CBC geek in me got to watch @craignorriscbc interview one of my Jewish and one of my Muslim friends from Interfaith Grand River talk about seeing the common humanity that we share. @Interfaith_Chat
This is the first time in many years that I did not organize Remembrance Day ceremonies at a school, but I did get a chance to lead a moment at a church craft sale for a good number of people.
Leaving my work in schools doesn’t stop me, it changes my audience
Yesterday I had the chance to facilitate a conversation with 27 people from 20 different faith groups about how they were feeling about the impact of the conflict in Israel/Gaza.
We can stand side by side, recognizing our common humanity.
@ESL_fairy 9yo’s order is a lovely thing to behold.
My kids would graph their trick or treat haul. It made it much harder for me to grab some for myself
The latest in the series of podcasts that I am working on came out this morning. It is a conversation with Father Toby, a local Roman Catholic Christian who (among other things) has been doing a lot of work with people who are inadequately housed.

This world is filled with so many good people. Although we need to be aware of those whose behaviour is problematic, let’s focus on those who make our hearts sing.
@dave__whiteside When my daughter was learning to walk she wanted her hands free. Then one day she reached up and took my hand. It felt like she was reaching up and taking hold of me by the heart. She never let go.
Being a dad is wonderful, and we take what affection they are ready to give us
The third in our series of video conversations with people of different faiths has come out. This one is a member of the Baha'i faith. https://t.co/K7EX8uWpEP
