“Tommy's mission in life was to make the world safer and fight for justice. So, what do I need? I need this country to come together to support our law enforcement officers so they can continue to fight for justice like my husband did." - Kelly Weeks

Today Kelly Weeks did just that - she visited the North Tryon Division to thank the officers for their response to last week's tragic incident. An amazing show of support for our officers and incredible way to honor her husband, U.S. Deputy Marshal Tommy Weeks.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the family of Deputy U.S. Marshal Thomas Weeks Jr. and the @USMarshalsHQ. Today, CMPD joined law enforcement from across North Carolina at the Bojangles Coliseum for a memorial service. Deputy Marshal Weeks was one of four law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty Monday while attempting to serve an arrest warrant. The Mooresville, N.C. native served 13 years with the U.S. Marshals Service with 10 years serving the Western District of N.C. We will never forget his bravery, service and ultimate sacrifice.

Officer Joshua M. Eyer
End of Watch: April 29, 2024

Your watch may be over but your legacy lives on.

[CMPD News @CMPD]

CMPD continues to be astounded by the level of community support that we have received this week.

In the latest show of support, @Lowes has been gracious enough to offer blue LED light bulbs for FREE at 30 Lowe’s locations in Charlotte. The goal is that residents who receive these bulbs will install them on their front porch to show their support for all law enforcement officers.

The bulbs will begin to be distributed this weekend. See your local Lowe’s store in the greater Charlotte region for more details.

The only thing I drank before this interview was the Illuvium kool-aid. Once you realise how insane this interoperable universe is, you will see that nothing else comes close.

I'm beyond hyped. I'm beyond blown away. Our team is beyond elite.
