Everything IS bigger in Texas...
Introducing TYLOSAURUS REX–“TEX”. A monster animal, a monster paper, & a monster project that I am *so* excited to finally share with everyone after ~5 yrs. Huge thanks to my coauthors, Mike & Ron, & to Alderon Games for bringing our lad to life!!
Happy #TylosurusTuesday!
Did you know? There are seven species of Tylosurus alive today!!! They are readily distinguishable from other marine life by their toothy elongate snouts. They are of course very dangerous, & have severely injured multiple people (& killed at least one).
Out now in the presses! A synapsid with human-like dentition! The new species Anthromorphodon incredulus is out now in Nature by M. Rotch, A. Fredrick, P. Olson, R. Owen, I. Lowes, and L. Samson.

The festival will include three days of unique, science and paleontology theme vendors. Such as fossil and mineral collectors, art vendors, and more!
Due to the high volume of applications, selected vendors will be notified by April 15th. https://t.co/HOOuaHkccE
SPECIAL #FOSSILFRIDAY ANNOUNCEMENT: FUNDRAISER STREAM *THIS SUNDAY*!
Paleontology calls, and the Crew answers! 🫡
We have been asked by the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology to help raise money to fund this year's annual meeting in Minneapolis!
It took our technician Brady about three months to prepare this Euoplocephalus skull. #FossilFriday
This ankylosaur specimen was discovered in Dinosaur Provincial Park. The animal would have lived during the Late Cretaceous.
Another new design?! You betcha!
This one was partially inspired by SVP's meeting logo this year (& somewhat contributed to one of us needing to get a new computer with a better graphics card...)
Catch this & the "Bad" design on our Etsy & Redbubble shops on Monday (Sep. 23)!
#PaleoFest2022 2nd day was awesome! The Carthage Paleontology Club coming out in full force and having a great weekend. Can't wait for next year, might need a second car for the rest of the Paleo club!
